OR Surgery Center Expansion
Our most recently completed project, wrapping up the 2021 year. Coastal IT was fortunate enough to work with HCA, Vannoy Construction, and NetPlanner to complete the Grand Strand Medical Center’s OR surgery building expansion project. This 3,000 sq. ft. addition constituted of 3 new ORs presented a welcome challenge to our team. Grand Strand’s OR surgery center is the only level 1 trauma center in the area. Working in a health care environment presented unique challenges, strict procedures, and high standards. By staying in direct communication with the general contractors and the HCA hospital IT staff throughout the project, we were proud to be able to meet and exceed expectations while staying on schedule and up to speed with the dynamic construction environment. Adhering to the clients needs, our technicians worked through the night in strict sterile conditions to run approximately 130 cables from our new IDF, through the existing surgery center, to their landing in the newly constructed ORs, all without disrupting or compromising hospital operation.
